Good Friday
I just spent an hour at church praying. My church is having a 24 hour prayer vigil. Well it was such a blessing. I wish that I could say that I spend an hour a day in quiet prayer with my Lord, but alas I don't. I talk with Him throughout the day as if he was riding along with me to the store, but that one on one personal on my knees at His feet time with Him doesn't happen as much as I would like it to.
I heard it explained to me like this one time and it really blessed me so perhaps it will you as well.
Imagine that you are sound a asleep and Jesus is sitting at the foot of your bed. Jesus is watching you just waiting for you to wake up to talk to Him. Your alarm goes off and instead of excitedly getting up to spend time with Jesus you hit the snooze alarm....yawn and cuddle up to your warm cozy pillow. Beep, Beep, Beep....stretching you roll out of bed and slothfully head to the bathroom...all the while Jesus is right there dying to talk to you.
You brush your teeth, go to the restroom, all the while half awake..thinking of all the millions of things you have to do today that you aren't nearly prepared for. Jesus rests against the outside of the door...waiting..hoping...
As you hurry along throughout your busy day...Jesus is right there, just waiting for a moment of your time.
You get off work and go to the gym, catch a bite to eat with a friend and catch up. All the while Jesus is there right by your side...anticipating the moment that you'll look His way...
You climb into bed that night and say..."Oh...wow what a day...thank you God for keeping me safe..in Jesus name...Amen."
As Jesus sits there and hears you mention His name his heart leaps...awww..he hasn't forgotten me...even if it was just for a moment, I will always, always, always...be here. "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Jesus gave His life for us today over 2,000 years ago...I have walked the streets of Jerusalem and stood at the foot of Calvary...and even in those times the reality of the magnitude of the sacrifice that Jesus made for me has never hit me as much as it has this night. Oh my God, thank you so much for sending Jesus to die in my place on that cross...i don't deserve Your forgiveness, but I most humbly and gratefully accept the gift of life that your son Jesus Christ died on the cross to give me.
Invite someone to Resurrection Service with your this Sunday, or if you don't know what in the world i am talking about and would like to know more about Jesus...please look for a Bible believing church and go this Sunday...JESUS LOVES YOU!!!

What are you going to do for Ressurection Sunday?
Well it's Holy week here in Peru, or Spring break in the USA. What are you plans? Go on a vacation, go to the beach? Read that book you've been wanting to get to for so long but haven't found the time. I don't know what your plans are but whatever they are be sure to remember what this weekend is all about.
It's about remembering what Jesus did for YOU! It's not about the Easter bunny or egg hunting, or going out on the lake...We all need to read through a Gospel and recall the life that Jesus led that led him to the cross.
And then this Sunday if you go to church... meditate on what a powerful God we serve. The sacrifce that Jesus made on the cross for our sins was accepted by God, and Jesus did it joyfully...because he knew that because of his death we would live forever with Him.
Perhaps all this sounds crazy to you...but it is the truth...and truth is absolute!
God bless you
Grace
