Pick up!

I have recently been trying to contact someone on their cell phone and all I get is this song that’s very nice, but just plays and plays…no answer. Then I tried calling their work, nope they have moved to another city. Then called their sister…very nice conversation, but she doesn’t know when the person I’m trying to contact will be coming to visit her. So I have to wait…I’ve sent messages, texts, everything that I can think of to get this person to respond…nothing.

Perhaps this is how God is with us…he tries to speak to our hearts personally…but we just give him a song and a dance…no answer…a busy tone. Then he tries using the people that we work with to get our attention…someone invites you to church…or to a bible study…your response perhaps that you’re to bust right now and have in your mind moved away from thinking about God. Then your family tries to draw you in perhaps someone cares enough to invite you over to share some time and love with you…but alas you are always busy and they don’t ever know if you’ll be coming over.

God is desperately and deeply in love with you, that’s why he is looking for how to reach you in every area of your life. So please take notice… stop making excuses…pick up! It’s God on the other line.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Rev. 3:20
